Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be bet on in casinos throughout the globe, or alternatively at your house on your PC, using a net connection. The rules are very straightforward and consist of the player attempting to get the highest mixture of cards possible in order to win cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a normal game of poker, minus the interaction with competing players. Of course, techniques employed during a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and pushes the deal button. A 5 card hand will be "given out" on the screen.
The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and bettors should now choose which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.
After the player has chosen which cards he or she would like to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards will be given out if desired. The hand is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.
Normally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can change from game to game, so that experienced bettors are agile enough to choose the most money-making ones each time.
As soon as the initial round has finished, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game allow the player a chance to double their profits, in which instance another round is played. There are also differences between specific machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying elements to enhance playability.
